Asian and European Graphic Novels in Singapore

Lingua Comica – Graphic Novels from Asia and Europe

During the Singapore Writers Festival (SWF) on 7 November 2012, ASEF, for the first time, will present a set of four comic books: Go Home (2008), Lingua Comica Graphic Novels from Asia and Europe (2009), Lingua Comica FUSE (2011) and RELOADED (2011).

This presentation will be the first of its kind since these books were published but never formally disseminated before.

These graphic novels are outcomes of the Asia-Europe Comics Programme. ASEF has been supporting this programme since 2006. Project ‘Lingua Comica’, under this programme, promotes the discovery and the building of new relationships between Asian and European comics and graphic novel fields.  It connects comics’ creators, artists, writers, publishers, editors and commentators and encourages them to embark in Asia-Europe collaborations.

Join us on 7 November at 7pm for the presentation! There will be discussions with two of the artists who were involved in the development of these graphic novels. The sharing with the artists will be followed by a free give-away and book signing session.
